Rode Star tonight & she maintained her balance in the trot almost twice around the ring. (I should mention that my arena is actually on a hill with a 4 drop from one end to the other - because I ran out of money before the contractor could haul in more dirt. This means we are always either trotting uphill or trotting downhill. Uphill is not a problem. Downhill tends to get a bit exciting at times) Maintained self carriage and a very steady tempo. And I sat the whole time. :-). Dressage riders: pretty easy to make us happy. And then we went out of the ring and walked around the yard. First time Ive done that in over a year. Last time I rode her out of the arena, she bucked me off & we all know what happened next. She was on her best behavior tonight. Felt good to be able to ride out. A little more progress. Happy me!
