It was a roll call of who is who at Nguru Aboh Mbaise today as John Kennedy Opara buries his father. John kennedy Opara who is the Executive secretary of Nigeria pilgrimage council, buried his late 81year old father admist funfare and jubilation. It was an occasion of who is who in Nigeria as Mr.President was ably represented by the governor of Bayelsa State. Other governors present at the occasion were the governors of Abia state, Ebonyi State, Anambara State, Akwa Ibom State, Plateau State as well as Imo State. The former Governors of Imo and Anambara State. Distinguished Senators,Hope Uzodinma, Matthew Nwagwu, and Chris Anyawu also graced the occasion. The Emir of Nassarawa state as well as the first lady of Nassarawa state were also present at the burial ceremony. Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha who also served as the chief host was present at the ceremony. Many ministers, distinguished senators from outside Imo state as well as a host of house of representative members were present at the burial ceremony. Speaking after the funeral service, John Kennedy welcomed his guests and showed appreciation to all who contributed to the success of the burial, he said he got a call from the president who begged to be absent from the ceremony after coming back after a long trip from United States Of America. Immediately after he spoke, Rt.Hon. Emeka Ihedioha was called upon as the Chief host on behalf of his constituency to welcome the guests. It took about 10mins to calm the ever happy Mbaise crowd who were cheering their illustrious son. His execellency Owelle went to the podium almost unnoticed after which he left unsung. John Kennedy Opara used the occasion to prove Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma wrong. Senator Hope who in this aim to gain cheap popularity accused Emeka Ihedioha of diverting several political appointments to only Mbaise people. John Kennedy Okoro used the burial to show that he is the closet person to Mr.President from Imo State, having prophesied to him many years ago when he was still the governor of Bayelsa state that one day he will be the President of Nigeria. It need be noted that John Kennedy is the personal spiritual director to Mr.President.
