Romans 5:20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: Some have thought that Paul was saying the more a person sins that the grace of God is increased to cover up their sins and they need not be concerned about sinning. However if we continue to read into the next chapter we see in Romans 6:1 & 2 that this is not what he was saying. 1. What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2. God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? The grace of God will always be there for us to be forgiven if we fall into sin and repent with a sincere heart.
