Romans 8:37-39 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Undaunted radiance is not built on anything passing, but on the love of God that nothing can alter. The experiences of life, terrible or monotonous, are impotent to touch the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. We are more than conquerors through Him in all things, not in spite of them, but in the midst of them. You dont have to be alone to feel lonely. Its all about how you are connecting with those around you. Perhaps you are in a place in your life where you feel no one understands you and no one cares. This time in your life probably wont last long. You will make connections and the loneliness will pass, but until it does, remember that God has promised to always be there for you - to listen, to comfort, to encourage. Death, loss of health, illness, and disappointment which bring sorrow are real. It is folly to deny the reality of sorrow. Only as we face up to it realistically shall we be prepared to overcome it constructively. The seriousness of being prepared when sorrow comes is due to the fact that no one escapes. Sorrow is an experience common to life. The best way for us to learn how to overcome our sorrow is to confront first those ways commonly used which do not help. Self-pity is one of those ways resorted to in time of sorrow. Self-pity leaves one pitiful, because the entire mind is turned inward, brooding on the sorrow. Self-pity weakens and shrivels the will to overcome. And it does not help. One of the marks of genuine Christianity is intense realism. We must be willing to face reality. We do not live in a make-believe world nor do we live by illusions and we must be prepared to look down the gun barrel of reality. It is this equality that has sustained heroic Christian spirits in every generation in the most difficult of circumstances. When sorrow is approached realistically, we must discovers the reality of Christs promise, I will never leave you nor forsake you. Hes as close as your prayer!
