Ronald Armentrout post a picture earlier of a #1 S Nance car that Bill Marshall from Arlington Texas drove from the 1980 Knoxville Nationals and it came up if Bill and I were related. This is a picture of Bill and myself talking at the 1980 Nationals that was sent to me by my friend Tony Martin that writes for Flat Out magazine. Tom Marshall raced in the 60s and 70s out of Texas and people always thought Tom was my Dad and when Bill started racing in Texas in the mid 70s people thought we were brothers. Although we were not related we were good friends. Bill got to be alot like Tim Richmond as far as his life away from the track and became pretty wild, not to say that I wasnt but my buddy Bill has spent time in and out of the Texas Correctional System.
