Ronnie Deila couldn’t have thought his celtic tenure could have started more high octane hammered in the champions league qualifier 6-1 on aggregate by legia Warsaw ,were out and a few days later uefa decided to give the hoops a second chance, because the polish side had fielded a ineligible player ,of course the result is under appeal as i write but the outcome is expected to fall in Celtics favour tomorrow morning … it will be interesting to say the least and if celtic get the second chance most expect then a get out of jail card is a understatement to say the least ,we were beat well in 2 legs by the polish side and im sure if celtic get the tie against Maribor the boss will breathe a huge sigh of relief ,i sat tonight watching Ronnie in the dugout and the pressure was evident on the new bosses face, his body language was of a nervous man… who am i to say if he is the man to take celtic forward, only time will tell, but im off the kind of fan who is willing to allow a new manager time to set out his philosophy of the game and allow new players to develop,he’s brought in loan deals with no cash outlay other than wages ,the board have the control all i can say is the fans have to be patient let Ronnie and Collins to move forward ….. tonight we went into the game against st Johnstone trying to find something to appease a support who demand the world a result,we started very slow and the first half of the game was a non event,1 chance for both sides in 45 mins and the murmers coming from the stands was not of a club in form… but second half we lifted things and the tempo was very good ,stokes found himself on the end of a defensive mistake and dispatched the chance very well 1-0 ……………st Johnstone had a good penalty claim soon after denied by the referee and soon after celtic had one of their own given nir biton dispatched the penalty for 2-0 and celtic looked comfortable… what i liked about deila was he brought subs on early 30 mins to go he brought on borrigter a player who was much maligned last season he looked sharp and maybe we will see the best of the dutch winger this season,McGregor scored the 3rd after a spill from manus in the st Johnstone goal… celtic looked more comfortable in the lead and deila was more visible on the touch-line,a young manager who’s finding his feet at a huge club ,give the guy a chance its going to be a long season if he can get a run off games under his belt the pressure will ease and we will get the best of him … ok if im wrong come christmas heaven forbid were struggling il eat my words but im willing to let him have a chance ,tomorrow we will know if legia Warsaws appeal has been successful whatever the outcome deila will be judged in the coming months ,i hope he gets the chance he deserves
