Rozy went to the hospital today. He is doing a little better today which is good. The vet tested his poo-poo and there is no yeast, so thats good. She also no longer thinks he has high blood pressure/hypertension because they found the cause of his breathing difficulties. He had a CT scan and there is a spot on one of his lungs. The radiologist thinks its more likely an infection than a tumor because it has a gaseous center. The avian vet thinks it is likely a fungal infection. She did an aspergillosis (sp?) test and we await the results, but it may not be that. He is starting on a second type of antibiotic and pending the test results and he may have to be nebulized. The oxygen tank is on its way so he will get supplemental O2 at home for as long as hes sick. Poor Rozy, but at least hes doing a little better today, so something hes taking is helping him.
