SAD NEWS TODAY. This is very shocking to me that I can hardly type. My awesome friend, K.j. Moran has passed away suddenly. My prayers and hurt heart go out to all their family, friends and especially Robin and their daughter Megan and her new husband; and to all of the hundreds and hundreds of theatre friends KJ has inspired over the years. I am so deeply sorry for this tragic loss and I will pray hard for comfort and healing. This picture of KJ and myself was taken at the Pineapple Playhouse where he was helping me find locations for a film project I was trying to do over a year ago. Ive never heard anyone come up with so many great ideas and suggestions for a set design, casting, props, etc, than KJ. I absolutely loved our buddy time together even if it was few and far in-between. I invited him to a casting I was holding in Stuart as he was trying to come up with actors that would fit my film characters. He was like that for everyone! He was unbelievably talented. I always called him, my secret agent as he would always look out for me for any theatre work for me back before my film life started. Oh My God, please be with KJ and comfort his family. A wonderful human being who meant a lot to many of us who will never ever forget him....ever. -MEL
