SAFETY EQUIPMENT WINS AGAIN!! Markus Niemelä Crash at the 2014 360 Oval Nationals video by Loudpedal Perris, CA | Nov. 7, 2014 - Markus Niemeläs axle breaks going into turn one at Perris Auto Speedway. We decided to post this after talking with Markus. As you will see in the video, the roll cage collapses and Markus is trapped in the car. Miraculously he escaped with only a concussion. Markus said if he hadnt been prepared with the proper safety equipment in case of a crash of this magnitude, he might not be here today. He credits the decision to purchase his custom fitted ButlerBuilt seat with saving him from serious injury. The Perris Auto Speedway safety team, one of the best in the world, took all the necessary precautions to ensure that Markus was extricated safely. This crash is a testament to taking safety seriously, and were hoping our sharing of this footage will help educate. Were glad Markus is okay.
