SAT 28th FEB Celebrate Geelong’s much loved community arts festival Pako Festa as it hits Geelong for its 33rd year! Held in the multicultural heart of Geelong, Pakington Street, Geelong West the day kicks off with a street parade at 11.00am, with 90+ floats and 100’s performers. The streets are lined with a plethora of multicultural food stalls to entice all food lovers. Socialise in one of the many bars and café’s, celebrate in an arena of ethnic diversity and harmony, and appreciate the wonderful variety of artistic and cultural expression within Geelong’s multicultural community! Highlights at this year’s event include: • Back to back performances on five stages starting at 12.00noon • Roving Street performances • Freeza Youth Stage 12.00noon - 5:30pm • Workshops, Craft displays & Kids activities • Giant screen showcasing images and footage from the past 30 years • Smorgasbord of Multicultural food • Pako Festa After Party from 6.30pm in the Geelong West Town Hall.
