SBI Clerk 2014 - Exam Analysis (26-07-2014 Morning Session) The State Bank of India conducted on- line examination for the very first time, for the recruitment of Clerk, across the country on the 19th July 2014 - Evening Session. Please find below the analysis of today’s morning session paper. There were 200 questions in the objective paper, which had to be answered in 135 minutes. There were four sections in all - Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language and General Awareness + Computer Knowledge + Marketing Awareness. There was negative marking of one-fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question for all the sections. Overall the examination was Easy. The questions in Numerical Ability, Reasoning and English were a bit lengthy but can be solved easily. That’s exactly the point where results might make a difference. Computer Knowledge, Marketing Awareness and General Awareness sections were easy PATTERN OF THE EXAM section difficulty and possible attempts. Reasoning Moderate 30 – 35 Quantitative Aptitude Difficult 25 – 28 GA Difficul t 22 – 25 English Language Easy 32 – 36 Computer + Marketing Difficul t 25 - 28 Total easy 141 - 160 Reasoning The overall difficulty level of this section was Easy/ Moderate. Questions were as follows- Syllogism Inequality Seating Arrangement Circle Arrangement North-South Arrangement Puzzle Blood Relation Data Sufficiency English Language The level of this question is Moderate based. The section comprised of questions based on – Antonyms/Synonyms Error Spotting Reading Comprehension Para-jumbles Cloze test. Quantitative Aptitude The level of the paper was easy/ moderate. The question were asked on the following topics - Simplification Time and Work Time and Distance Series Profit and Loss Average General Awareness This section was quite easy. The questions were asked on the following topics - Awards Currency Important days Headquarters of UN Games and Trophy Relation RBI SBI Current Account Deficit Countries and Capital Counsel Ministers of New Govt Indian Budget Recent Appointments Technology Computer Knowledge/Marketing Awareness This section was bit difficult to solve and the level was difficult. Computer Knowledge – Really very easy and basic question. Marketing Awareness – The questions asked in the Marketing were very difficult. They were application based and were difficult to understand.
