SCHOOLS: Citing a lack of progress in negotiations with the school - TopicsExpress

SCHOOLS: Citing a lack of progress in negotiations with the school board, reps for the Haddonfield Education Association said on Thursday night that they will seek mediation. The union and district are about 30 days away from the end of the current contract. Also Thursday night, the board said it is unlikely that it will be able to hire additional teachers to reduce burgeoning class sizes in several schools, as requested by parents. It is more likely that the district will seek volunteers to move to other elementary schools in Haddonfield or impose involuntary transfers in keeping with board policy. Story in next weeks Retrospect.
