SEDCO is looking to hire a talented, creative and committed individual as a Web Designer with Front-End Development Experience to join our team. The ultimate candidate shall be passionate about web design and have up to date knowledge about new web standards and best design practices and guidelines. Responsibilities: • Participate in concept development, design ideation, and detailed specification of visual designs for user interfaces of existing and future web and mobile based products. • Understand business requirements. Interpret user stories and use cases into wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and UI design applying interaction design patterns and user interface standards and guidelines. • Build unique, modular, performance aware and responsive layouts for web applications using HTML 5, CSS3, and media queries. • Closely collaborate with Product Manager, Development Team Leader, Web Developers, and Quality Assurance to ensure successful delivery of solutions. Qualifications Required Qualifications: • 1 - 3 years of experience as a Web Designer with Front-End Development experience of enterprise-class web applications. • Strong portfolio featuring graphic and web UI/UX design. Candidate portfolio shall be submitted with the application. • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), HTML 5 & CSS 3. • Experience with cross browser and cross platform compatibility issues and degradation strategies. • Experience with responsive web design • Solid grasp of graphic and web design principles and best practices. • Good listener, ability to listen keenly and adapt ideas, coming up with multiple concepts and clearly articulating the tradeoffs of each concept and getting buy-in from all stakeholders. • Candidates must able to collaborate effectively with others in a cross-functional team, and be able to rationalize and present their design ideas and decisions effectively. • Experience with mobile 1st approach is a plus. Preferred Qualifications • Knowledge of JavaScript and JavaScript libraries like JQuery. • Experience in Mobile application UX and UI design.
