SERENDRIPITY -- A cold front will be edging into our area by midday/early afternoon on Saturday, heralded and accompanied by additional much-needed rain and showers. A GFS/NAM compromise continues to suggest a total of 0.40 to 0.80-inch of precipitation, the lions share falling between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. A thunderstorm cannot be entirely ruled out. The front looks to be a relatively slow mover and will not fully move out of our area until late in the day. The last raindrops could fall by around 5 p.m; the day could end with breaks of sunshine. High pressure centered near the Gulf Coast will ridge north and east into our area bringing the Sun back to our skies for Sunday.
