SIG SAUER has entered the 21st Century. It took them long enough, but I believe they may have created a gun that will finally rival the Glock pistols. If SIG is smart they will build a long barrel model like the Glock 34, a subcompact model like the Glock 26, and create a single stack model in subcompact configuration. Many months ago Brett Hilismeyer let me see this gun when it was still under wraps from SIG and I was very impressed with the trigger options and the grip size options. I believe the price is very reasonable too. That is something that SIG has not been known for. Sounds like I am not a SIG fan, but nothing could be farther from the truth. I love SIG pistols. They just so happen to make the second best handguns on the planet and that is a very close second to Glock, but now that SIG finally got away from that ridiculous double action/single action and double action only trigger they have finally built a gun that just might be better than the Glock. SIG builds pistols that are highly reliable and extremely accurate. The trigger is what is going to make the difference with this new SIG along with the other nice features such as the ability to change calibers, change grip sizes and frame sizes, and the safer way of field stripping this new gun. I am going to have to have one of these so I can run it through the mill. Back in the 90s I shot my SIG P226 so much I broke two frames and SIG replaced it with a new frame each time.
