SISTERHOOD? Please explain what the Greek Sorority / KD Sisterhoods values are all about. As most of you know my daughter has been a big part of KD for the past 3 years and has worked hard and has taken much pride in her commitment to her chapter and national KD sorority. After a sister was unable to do recruitment due to academic probation Spring quarter my daughter was asked to take on the responsibility of recruitment chairman for Fall. This is a huge responsibility, with lots of planning and work (similar to planning a wedding reception) and was on a budget, which she managed to stay way under compared to previous years. The treasurer, who was away for the Summer, was very uncooperative and instead of giving her a uploaded card with amount of budget (as done previously) she would only give her a check in $250 increments and was not in town for her to give her more when needed. Needless to say, we paid a lot out of our own pocket to try to get all together in time for recruitment week. Well, long story short... A month ago our house burn to the ground and was a total loss and the last of the receipts that we had been getting together to turn in to the treasurer were in her room and are ASH! The sorority is placing her on National Probation for supposedly taking money and providing these last receipts even though some of her sisters vouched that they were with her when she purchased the items and pictures and its obvious the items were in the room the week on recruitment. They werent donated, and we are even paid money Out of pocket. I understand rules of turning in receipts but she even sent in picture of our house. She has not gotten any support from her chapter and the treasurer will not even provide the information that she has requested. Regardless of the outcome of this situation, she plans to resign from KD because she is so hurt and disgusted. Everything she thought KD stood for is no more! If this is what SISTERHOOD is, then I dont want her to be a part of it. Let me also add, recruitment this year was a HUGE SUCCESS ! Great Job Brittany Parker
