SO HERE IT IS!!!!! The Healthy Active Native Buddy Challenge!!! You are going to ask 3 people (each group will consist of 3 members total) from the HANS group to be your Fitness Buddies. For 6 weeks you will assist each other with sharing different exercises, healthy meals, and also checking up on each other from week to week. Each group member will play the part of being captain 1 week at a time. The captain will be responsible for giving their team the workouts or meal suggestions each day for 1 week THEN another group member will be the captain the following week. Each member will have a total of 2 weeks at being the captain by the end of 6 weeks. You will also need to check in with the group at least once a week but you are more than welcome to post as many times in the group of what you and your buddies have accomplished for the week. Keep in mind that when you pick your partners to be considerate of their fitness level and not make them run a marathon or lift 500 pounds if they never have done it! Key Points to the Buddy Challenge: You can only have 3 buddies to a group and they have to be from the HANS group you are also welcome to ask your friends to join you but you will have to add them to the group. You will alternate from week to week in challenging your buddies by posting a healthy meal or the exercise that they will do for the week. Each person will alternate from week to week for 6 weeks. There is almost 24,000 members in the group and we are thousands of miles apart so don’t worry about finding a partner near you ask someone in another state make new friends!!! If a member is just too pressed for time and can not complete the challenge you can drop them from your group and finish with 2 people or you can add a new buddy but no later than 3 weeks into the challenge so your better off finishing with 2 if your heading into the 4th week. BE CREATIVE AND GIVE YOUR TEAM A NAME!!! START LOOKING FOR YOUR TEAM MEMBERS THE CHALLENGE WILL START SUNDAY 3/16/14 THAT GIVES YOU ALL 5 DAYS TO FORM A TEAM YOU WILL ANNOUNCE YOUR TEAM NAME AND NAME YOUR BUDDIES TO START OFF THE CHALLENGE YOU CAN ANOUNCE AT ANYTIME ON SUNDAY NEXT WEEK. Youtube is a great tool for exercises if you want to share an exercise with your partners you can get the right range of motion and proper technique but like I said be mindful of your partners capabilities! Be honest with your team members means being honest with yourself do not cheat that’s why it’s a buddy challenge and have fun!!
