SO PROUD OF OUR SON HENRY FOR HIS WORK ON MODEL UN... ElRo Corner 2014 marks the beginning of a new era for the ElRo Model United Nations club. Under the guidance of our faculty advisor, Mr. Spear, the Model UN club has established its presence at the school in an unprecedented manner. This new generation of MUN delegates is incredibly well-spoken and knowledgeable. Last weekend, a group of 41 freshmen and sophomores attended a Model UN conference at the Grand Hyatt hotel. These brilliant students are characterized by their intelligence, passion and dedication to the club. They all deserve a pat on the back! Since the beginning of the year, they have attended weekly hour-long meetings and written countless papers, research reports, and resolutions. But above all, they have entered into the world of Model UN with a positive, determined attitude which has really, really impressed me. While walking through the conference venue, I witnessed many of our students taking active, leadership positions within their committees, effectively sponsoring and debating many resolutions. A special shout out goes to Jamee L., who represented Lithuania in the prestigious Security Council, and to James OG. and HENRY MIDDLETON., about whom many approached me to praise their enthusiasm and commitment. I cannot tell you how proud I am of all of you.
