In the wake of the upsetting news that actress Ashley Madekwe will be leaving the hit shoreside drama, Wetpaint Entertainment spoke exclusively with actor Nick Wechsler (Jack Porter) at the ATX Television Festival to get the first cast reaction ... and it wasn’t pretty. Though the 34-year-old is excited to start Season 3 of the show now that his character knows Emily Thorne’s true identity, he seemed less than pleased by Ashley’s exit. Wetpaint editor Alyse Whitney spoke with the actor on the red carpet about his co-star’s departure. “I could see how people in her position, if they find out that they’re unceremoniously let go — I mean, I actually don’t know how it went down. I have to talk to her still — but I would probably, if they came to me and said, ‘We want you to come back and wrap up your storyline,’ I’d be like, ‘OK, well I want this much money and then I’d go [flips the bird].” Well, that’s one way to handle it. Nick clearly respects his co-stars, but that’s the nature of the business. On a show like Revenge, main characters are dying and exiting each season. In fact, in Season 2 alone Nick said goodbye to Margarita Levieva who played Jack’s wife, Fauxmanda Clarke, and Connor Paolo, who played Jack’s brother, Declan Porter.
