SOME WOMEN FELLOWSHIPS AFTER SUNDAY SERVICE ! So many months ago, I went to see a pastor and I was made to sit in d church waiting for him. Sitting in the church auditorium, I was able to listen to d discussions of d Women as they hold their fellowship meeting. I was shocked! Do you know what they were discussing? 1. WOMEN LEADER: Which gele are we using to Mrs Kolawoles party? The purple gele or the pink or the yellow or the lilac? They argued that for 40 minutes! 2. WOMEN LEADER: Who will volunteer to represent us at Mama Nkechi mothers burial at Owerri? Someone was nominated. She refused, saying Mama Nkechi does not attend other peoples functions. When my papa died four years ago, she did not come. Why must i folo her to Owerri? Owerri ko, Japan ni. They argued that for 30minutes. 3. WOMEN LEADER: Mrs. Pius said Mama Tola hissed at her two months ago. That is why she has stopped coming to church with her children. Immediately, Mama Tola stood up to defend herself. Dont mind her o. Her wahala is too much in this church. I am one of d founding members. She came only yesterday and her gra gra in this church is too much. Na Wetin? I am not her age mate. She was 38 two years ago, April 16. I am 42 this year! Immediately, d friends of Mrs. Pius stood up to attack Mama Tola. Mrs. Pius is a grandmother. Her first child is married and a mother of two! Mama Tolas first born is still in secondary school! Mama Tola should show respect! In a jiffy, katakata burst. Before I knew it, the fellowship leader started shouting ... Make we share grace o...make we share grace o (meaning the meeting is over.) So this is what you women discuss at your fellowship? I move a motion that we appoint men to help some women fellowships organise their meetings henceforth. ....loool
