A volunteer writes: With her little impish boxer face, Sophia is stunning in her gleaming black coat. Petite and elegant, she is quiet, calm and a little shy when we first meet. Showing off nice leash manners we go for a walk, Sophia taking care of business right away indicating shes likely housetrained. Scared inside the building, once we are outside she opens up a bit, shyly willing to make friends but being cautious as she does. She didnt mind being tethered for photos, and shyly made eye contact. In the backyard she explored the pen, but was still too unsure to play ball or enjoy any treats. In addition to simply being an elegant and sophisticated female name, Sophia means wisdom in Greek.
