Most helpful customer reviews 10 of 10 people found the following review helpful. great case but back plate scratches/scuffs very easily By curious Im between a 3.5 and a 4 star here.Pros:Sturdy caseGreat balance between protection & aestheticsHas the small ridge that protects the front glass without interfering with the touch interfaceGreat gripGreat weightGoes perfectly with their Steinheil Ultra Crystal screen protector.Over all the build quality of the case itself is excellent.Cons -The back plate will scuff / scratch extremely easily.the reason I chose this case (over the heavy protection cases) is the compromise between aesthetics and protection. I dont like bulk so this Slim Armor S has me covered well there, and I definitely hate scratches! Ive had this case for about 24 hours now and the backplate has picked up 2 or 3 very noticeable scratches / scuffs. And this is from residing in my pocket with nothing in it. Id understand if i somehow threw in jagged keys or if I kept a small rock quarry in my pocket, but the hardest object this case has come in contact with is my pocket lining. I cant imagine what the plate is going to look like in a month. I bought this case for the long haul so Im glad the SPIGEN had the forethought to sell new backplates.. but they arent cheap enough to replace every 30 days.Overall though, this case does what it needs to do. It protects - and if I ever drop it, I can update how well it protects. I wont lie Im intrigued by their Air cushion marketing, lol.My suggestion to SPIGEN is to protect the backplate a little better from abrasions (yes itd be a bit glossier, but 24hours for pocket scuffing is too quick)OR at least include one extra plate in the kit (24$ price, 0.10$ plate - Im sure your customers would be happier). 11 of 12 people found the following review helpful. Best Slim Case for iPhone 5 By Bruce Carl Ertmann Ive gone through many protective cases for the iPhone 5, but the Spigen SGP 10365 Slim Armor Case for the iPhone 5 is by far the best. Its truly slim with only a slight protruding lip on the front that happens to be nicely slightly higher than the Spigen SGP iPhone 5 Screen Protector Glass Slim [GLAS.tR SLIM], which I also highly recommend.I have the Metal Slate color that most closely resembles the finish of my black iPhone 5. The case is easy to put on and fits tight–like a glove. Removing it is not difficult as long as you start on the upper right corner and peel back from the top. The buttons for volume are great. Good tactile feel and responsive. The silence switch above those buttons is not as difficult to activate as some have said. I have large fingers and short nails and am able to easily move the switch back and forth. Overall, the case just feels good in your hand. No cheap feeling plastic, smooth metallic sides and no gaps or loose fitting corners. So far, no scratches on the back metal part but Im careful to not put the phone in a pocket with other sharp objects or coins.Amazon has just dropped the price on this product so it is a particularly good buy. 7 of 7 people found the following review helpful. The perfect case for me. By Cuperdo I was looking for a minimal case that still provided some drop protection. For me, this is it. It fits well. It protects well for my use. It looks great. All the buttons work well. The port sizes seem great, but I use the standard Apple plug in for power and standard headphone jacks.The two pieces are necessary for the best protection and use overall. The rubber inner lining is a little too thin on its own, without the outer shell. It still provides protection, but doesnt lock onto the phone quite as well as it does with the outer shell attached. However, theres really no reason to go without the outer shell, since it doesnt add any size or much weight. Taking off the case isnt as easy as putting it on, but hopefully I wont have to do that too much. Its a very small problem, though.The case looks fantastic. I bought the metal slate color. It looks exactly like the company pictures. The design, materials, and color are all great. For a plastic case, with some decent protection and without much added bulk, Im not sure youll find better. I bought the Incipio Feather case when I received my phone. It is a very good, extremely minimal case. The Slim Armor S looks comparatively better and provides more protection than the Feather, by far. There is good cushioning on the edges and the on-the-table protection seems great. I will note that I have the GLAS.tR SLIM protector on there, which seems to almost negate the space between the lip and the screen protector.I am writing this review after only having the case for a day.
