STERLING REMARKS ARE EXPLOSIVE--TMZ is reporting that Los Angeles Clipper Owner Donald Sterling made racist remarks in a phone call with his girlfriend. If the comments were made (private phone call)and are accurate a firestorm of consequences will occur. Owners are public figures who reflect on a geographical area. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver will have to act. How can employees,players,coaches be asked to work in a hostile atmosphere.How will ticket holders,sponsors,Fox Sports react? Sterling needs to immediately disavow the statements if untrue, or rapidly apologize and make amends. This should not be racially divisive--all decent people will be revolted by bigotry.
