STONES QUESTION AND ANSWERS - PART II Tillette Scott Q - What made you want to become a writer? A: My love of storytelling and my wild imagination. I love writing action thrillers that have you on the edge of your seat. I recall telling my stories to my brothers and cousins during our summers on Corey’s Mountain when we used to camp outdoors a lot. Uncle Corey use to get on me for having them so scared they would want to sleep on the floor outside Uncle Corey’s bedroom door. Everybody was scared by my stories…except for Thorn. Vandelta Keaton Q: When the family get together what do yall talk about. What ages is your children and your brothers and sister too? A: When the family gets together we cover a lot of topics. Mostly we bring everyone up to date on what we’re doing. Getting together around the holidays is nice. Rock is six and started first grade this year. We think hes sweet on his teacher because he wakes up every morning smiling and ready to go see Miss Creper. Raven is one and is a daddy’s girl already. Shes beautiful like her mother. Delaney and my brothers will tell you all about their families on their days. Rochell Handley Q - How did you come up with the pen name of Rock Mason? A: I wanted a catchy name, and one that depicted strength and fortitude. I wanted a name associated with the stone family so I decided to use Rock. The last name Mason came out from watching reruns of the TV show Perry Mason with my parents. He was a smart dude and always figured out the bad guy. I liked that. Clarice MsRere Henry Q - How do the Westmoreland man plan on protecting the younger female Westmorelands? A: We are learning from any mistakes we made with Delaney. We talked to Clint and Cole and they admit being brothers to Casey was a challenge as well. I don’t want to think about when Raven began dating. I want her to remain my little girl forever. Madison has taught Rock to play the piano and he’s pretty good at it. But already Rock looks out for his little sister. Hes a good big brother. Janet D Hayes Q - How many kids do you and Madison want? A: Two but Madison and I would love to have two more. In fact we are planning on it. She was an only child and wants a house full, but I’ve convinced her four is a great number.
