SUGAR LOAF It was exactly between Cara de Cão and Pão de Açúcar (Sugar Loaf) hill that Estácio de Sá settled the city of São Sebastião do Rio de Janeiro. Added to the landscape of Rio in 1912, Sugar Loaf’s Cable Cars were the first ever installed in Brazil and the third in the world.
