SUMMER SKY-WATCHING! The end of July is going to be a very busy time for the Marshall team! A major highlight, certainly, will be the 2014 Delta Aquarids meteor shower overnight on July 29-30. Were expecting a new moon, hopefully clear skies and a shower with projected peak rates of 15-20 meteors/hour! Most of the world can see the Delta Aquarids, with best viewing in the southern hemisphere and the tropics in the northern hemisphere. Best viewing time is usually the two hours before dawn, but if youre away from city lights, any time may yield a minor light show! Marshall also will host a live UStream feed throughout the night on July 29-30, starting at 8:30 p.m. Central U.S. time (3:30 p.m. Hawaii). Visit the web page for more details -- and come stargaze with us!
