SUPER MUSHY POST AHEAD! I went with someone one night in November of 2001 to LaPorte Pantry to meet a couple of guys and go out. The guy I was meeting had a friend with a badass white Dodge ;) An hour into our date we stopped for gas, and I knew I was sitting with the wrong guy, Id spent the hour rejecting the guy next to me to find out more about the guy driving, so I had my friend get in the back seat, and I got into the front to sit by the driver, Jose Silva ;) Classic Kaitee move, by the way. Always doing what I want. Fast forward to today. That man and I knew on our second date we were getting married. Three kids in 3 years, hahaha. I have the most loving, thoughtful, hardworking man I have ever known. I loved my dad, but he never did half of the things my husband does for our kids. My kids have a dad who sometimes only gets 2-3 hours of sleep because he stays awake to see them before school, to pack Natalias lunch, and see them get on their buses. He rarely misses anything theyre doing in sports or school. He would do, and he does, anything for me. I am his #1. Nobody comes before me. The same goes for him. There is not anything I would not do for him. We have cut people who have tried to create problems between us from our lives. I cut my mom out for that reason (among others), hes cut some of his family out as well. I have never doubted his commitment to me, he knows I would go to the end of the universe for him. I would cut my heart out if he needed it. Its obsessive, its possessive, were crazy. Nobody messes with it. I hope each of my kids realizes what their father has done to support them, hes never put his wants before their needs. Im sure hes hated running an oven some days, Im sure hes wanted to do something else, instead of spend the last 17 years where he is, but his kids have to eat, his kids need a roof over their heads, his kids need to know stability. And they have all of that. He will always do what it takes to be sure they have it. He says his dad was his best example in his life. For that, and that alone, I owe my father in law more than I could ever give him. My son can thank his abuelo, who he is named after, for the examples set before him to be the father and husband I hope he one day will be. My daughters have seen how a man better treat them. I dont know if I just got lucky, or if someone was looking down and saw where I was heading and sent Jose in my direction. If you knew me before 2001, you could have seen where my life was heading, and it wasnt going to end pretty. This is just one of many nights that my kids fall asleep early and I get to sit around and be amazed at how this all turned out. When were not together, were thinking about each other. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I will follow you anywhere.
