A little tense and nervous, I bet! His senior issues include cataracts, arthritis, but this beagle mix is not ready to die yet! A good geriatric workup, some supplements like glucosomine, and GOOD CARE might improve his remaining time. All seniors, human and animal, have senior issues but they cant legally kill human seniors yet. Maximus walks slowly but he might get to the point where he actually enjoys leisurely walks with his people, but he definitely will love a warm, soft bed, good senior food, pets and hugs. ACC said he suffers from benign neglect but it is simply NEGLECT, and ACC does nothing but want to kill him for it. Please dont let them, foster or adopt this sweet old boy for the time he has left. It just may make him rally. He is New Hope rescue only because of his age and condition, but that might work in your favor. If you foster, a NH rescue will help with vetting.
