Sabbath Sermon : ~ Beholding Israel & the Temple of God through the Cross: ~ starting here - Abraham Gods faithful Prophet, friend, Had Jacob & Esau ~ & God chose to give the blessing to Jacob ~ Jacob means liar, deceiver,thief - In the Bible we know that a persons name represents his character. ( atleast i hope you know that) ~ Jacob Lived up to his name he stole the blessing, Esau sought to kill him and he left home for 20 years, had a large family and good livestock.. God gave Jacob the assurance yet he would still receive the blessing. God now sent Jacob home - to inherit the promise- but a servant of Jacob came back to him with bad news that his brother was still bitter towards him and coming to seek Jacob with hundreds of men. Jacob became scared and separated himself from his family and went to pray to the Lord. Jacob engages in a mental battle for the sin he had committed stealing the blessing , and the some unrecognized being was wrestling him physically.... Genesis 32 ~ Jacob realizes it was a supernatural being wrestling with him, a heavenly messenger ~Genesis 32: 24- 27 ~ 24 And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day. 25 And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacobs thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him. 26 And he said, LET ME GO, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me. 27 And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob. Jacob comes clean with a confession ~ he gives his name- i am a liar , deceiver, thief, i am not worthy for the blessing God is seeing this about Jacob You have humbly repented ~Genesis 32:28 - 28 And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed. Israel also means God contended in the old testament -as Jacob did wrestle. Now God is calling him a Prince of God. Change of title >>>>>>> Change of Life. ~ Jacob held on by FAITH. - Old Testament - One man that gained spiritual victory. Law of first usage - It gives a precedence on how it is to be understood from here on. Jacob became a father - Joseph was his favorite - God GAVE HIM DREAMS TO SAVE ISRAEL FROM FAMINE AND BRING THEM TO EGYPT.. then they were caught in bondage and GOD SENT A DELIVERER - Moses - ~Exodus 4:22 &23 22 And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the Lord, Israel is my son, even my firstborn: 23 And I say unto thee, Let my son go, that he may serve me: and if thou refuse to let him go, behold, I will slay thy son, even thy firstborn. Moses- who brought them ACROSS THE RED SEA - THEN TO THE WILDERNESS where they stayed for 40 YEARS - Then led them to THE PROMISED LAND. ~ ALL DESCENDANTS OF ONE MAN BECAME >>>>A NATION CALLED THE SON. ~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Exodus 19: 5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: 6 And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ IF Condition set. ~ After King David and Solomon- God allows captivity and the 12 tribes are divided into 2: -One man who has spiritual victory -Descendants of that one man. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~JOSEPH the Carpenter HAS A DREAM - take your wife to EGYPT FOR REFUGE FROM HEROD ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - The crossing of the Sea was actually pointing to BAPTISM... ( no assumption - the bible says so even) ~ 1 Corinthians 10:1 &2 - 1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; 2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jesus grew up , went to be BAPTIZED- PASSED THROUGH THE JORDAN~~~~~~~~~He went to the WILDERNESS 40 DAYS~~~~~~~~~ ~ satan tempted Jesus and Jesus USED THE WORD OF GOD AS A SWORD! Jesus actually quoted from the book of Deuteronomy & OVERCAME where ISRAEL FAILED. ***************** Do you think this was all an enormous coincidence?******No. * In the New Testament Israel is: - first - Here they are a Nation of flesh Jews Hosea 11:1 ~ When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt. * But Here in the New testament ISRAEL IS JESUS CHRIST. - Matthew 2:13- 15 ~ 13 And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him. 14 When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt: 15 And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called My Son. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~SON OF GOD - One man who gains a spiritual victory - Descendants of that one man ~~~~~~~~~ Not by birth but by FAITH. Galatians 3:26 ~ For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. - Baptism is the outward declaration of cutting away the flesh & being reborn in the spirit of the Lord. - New Testament 2 Peter 2:9 ~ The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: Old Testament Exodus 19:5 & 6 - UNDER CONDITIONS. . There are two Israels - ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~National Israel & Spiritual Israel - every soul who stands in Christ reborn of His Spirit ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ -Heirs according to the Convenant PROMISES. * Behold All Israel God will save.... ~ Romans 11:23 -And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is able to graft them in again. GRAFTED IN BY FAITH IN JESUS. ~~~~~~~~~~~ JEW & GENTILE, MALE & FEMALE, YOUNG & OLD~~~~~~~All are invited to THE MARRIAGE SUPPER OF THE LAMB - God promises on Conditions But Gods love is Unconditional Jeremiah 18:9&10 9 And at what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant it; 10 If it do evil in my sight, that it obey not my voice, then I will repent of the good, wherewith I said I would benefit them. ---NOT EVERY ONE WILL BELIEVE. - 2 Corinthians 1;20 ~ Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? - ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~GODS TEMPLE~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ * 1948 happened in History....... - satan is using the LITERAL NATION AS A DECOY / DIVERT - WHERE SO EVER THEIR FAITH BE IT MANIFEST * - 2 Thessalonians 2 : 3 Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God -Whether it shall be as literal - It is still not what God is pointing us to! - Old Testament Israel is Literal - In the New Testament is Spiritual, Old Testament Temple is Literal - In the New Testament The Temple is A Spiritual - Household of FAITH ~ Days before His crucifixion - Matthew 23:37 -38 ~ 37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! 38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. - THEY CHOSE CEREMONY OVER THE SAVIOR, OVER GOD. * ~~~~~~THE TEMPLE - THE BUILDING BECAME IDOLATRY~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - Mark 11:17 ~ - And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves. - ~~~~~~~~ WHEN THEY REJECTED HIM- JESUS AND THE TEMPLE OF STONE BECAME THEIR HOUSE & GOD REJECTED IT AS HIS HOUSE~~~~~~~~ HE DISOWNED IT. - Matthew 24;1 -2 ~ 1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. 2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. - 40 years later IT WAS DESTROYED IN THE YEAR AD 70. - ~~~~~~~ GODS TEMPLE IS A SPIRITUAL JEW OR A SPIRITUAL ISRAEL~~~~ - 1 Corinthians 3 :16&17 ~ 16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. - - ******************* Heavenly Temple/ Spiritual in Christ. - *********************************^ - ******************************** l - ******************************** l - ******************************** l -------------------1 Nation ------------l-------------->Spiritual Victory- - ********************************* l - ********************************* l - ********************************* l - ********************************* l - ********************************* l - ********************************* l ********************************* l - ****************** Earthly Temple of Stone & ceremonies *************** LITERAL MINDNESS OF JEWS CAUSED THEM TO REJECT JESUS! - THEY MISSED THAT THE MESSIAH HAD COME & THEY WERE CRUCIFYING HIM! THEY WANTED SOMETHING PHYSICAL - THE VEIL WAS TORN! >>>>>>>>>>>>CHRIST WAS HERE! * W A R N I N G !!!!!! >>> ~~~~~~~~~~IF YOU GO TO THE TEMPLE & ITS ORDINANCES AFTER JESUS SAID IT IS FINISHED ~~~~~~~~~~YOU ARE DENYING CHRIST. - This is satans DECOY TO DECEIVE PEOPLE FROM RECEIVING JESUS! - AD 34 Probation closed on National Israel - They rejected Jesus. - GOD IS CALLING ALL TO BE SPIRITUAL ISRAEL!! - GODS TEMPLE IS US! - Jesus Christ choose the nails! He allowed them to pound those nails in His palms....... GOD IS NOT A GOD OF FORCING OR AGAINST WILL - Jesus prayed for us as He hung from the cross ~ AND HE DIDNT SEE COLOR OR NATIONALITY ROMAN, JEW OR GENTILE - HE SAW HUMANITY REJECTED HIM - And yet He prayed Father forgive them for they knew not what they do. * right there He was pointing them to the time God gave them 70 times 7 to clean up their act and get in order... >>> They did mock Him even then telling Him to save Himself if He truly was the God ..... Come down from the cross! but Jesus wouldnt ~ Salvation of the human race depended on Him being the Sacrificed Lamb & He loved us this much... Jesus refused to let go- because if He wanted He could very well come down... but for us that we might have this Spiritual rebirth He hung unto the Cross and said I wont Let you go! to each and every one of us. Now it is our turn>>> will you let Him go? Or will you believe in His word & hold on for dare eternal life. Amen.
