Sad how people abandon animals!! Saturday morning after our early morning walk,saw a Healer mix sitting in Parking Lot at front of Nelson Park looking very stressed and searching for his owner. He wouldnt come to me,as he was patiently awaiting his owner and visibly scared.Snowball visits a German Shepard near there every morning as they are good friends now.Sunday when we returned he was laying near the German Shepards Wrought iron Fenced property. We tried again, but he was visibly scared and growling.I went and bought some plastic bowls, dog food and water, and fed and watered him at least. Today he was a little more friendly, but still scared, as I left food and water, but remained nearby and tried to calm him. He has been staying and sheltering near the German Shepard, weather has been mild 50s-60s,and a friend who lives near the Park is also watching out for his well being. I may be able to gain his trust or my friend there will and maybe well keep him from winding up at the City animal control, which isnt good for older dogs.
