Sad news friends. We said goodbye to our dear cat Merlin tonight. He apparently had an undiagnosed condition and a blood clot had become lodged in his heart, and as a result had lost rear motor control. We could have attempted treatment but the doc said that it would have been extremely painful and that he would only have about a 20% chance of surviving afterward. So we made him as comfortable as possible to say our goodbyes. He went peacefully surrounded by those who loved him, and those he loved in return, mostly Martha as she was always his favorite. Thank you again for being there! Rest well Merlin, rest well.
