Salsa night@the Vertu bar Birmingham city centre not to be missed, with two great DJs spinning the wheels of steel of the best in salsa music. On the left we have Maverick Logan (the don) 23 years experience within the salsa movement.STARTED BACK IN 1991 at a Restaurant called Amigo’s in sell oak,the Glass Works,EXLs,Tramps,Tresssins,G2,could go on and on. In 2007 Maverick launched the Cross in Moseley which ran for 7 years, a great venue that captured the true salsa vibes and atmosphere that is the main reason why were taking this to the city,At present he is at the Billesley in Kings heath with Rohan brown,Dave emanuel and Paul hibbert,When you experience a Pavilions salsa night out, you will know and follow the music of Maverick. On the right we have DJ Jim close, a resident DJ of one of Birmingham’s biggest monthly events - Smooth Salsa in the UK, and has been a guest DJ for Latin Motion, Cafe Mambo Project, TNT (Boston) London to name a few. Recently back from playing at the Cyprus Congress and also making Salsology debut next month. DJ Jim really loves the old school Mambo, Guaguanco, and Cha-Cha and but also likes to keep it fresh mixing in new music and romantica, a touch of Latin Jazz, Cuban and Bachata. He collects music from the smaller record labels from Venezuela, Peru, Costa Rica, Dominican republic, Panama etc but blends with the known mainstream classics to give balance and familiarity. Music for the dancers.
