Salvation comes by the grace of God alone, through faith alone, in - TopicsExpress

Salvation comes by the grace of God alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone. No amount of money; no amount of good works; no amount of anything can earn your way to heaven. We are justified by faith alone, and it is only by the righteousness of Jesus Christ and His sacrificial death at Calvary that we gain access to the Father in heaven, and forgiveness of our sins, and a brand new heart and a new nature. (2 Peter 1:4) Salvation is the sovereign work of God, and it is ONLY because of Christs finished work on Calvary, that the true believer is regenerated, as they surrender to the Lordship of Jesus Christ in their lives, which is no more a work, than repentance and faith, which we are commanded to do. The Holy Spirit first convicts us of our sins and our unworthiness, and the necessity to turn from our sin, and He leads us to repentance, as we see by the eye of faith Jesus Christ bleeding and dying in our place at Calvary, and we trust in Christs sacrificial death as our own, and we are saved. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. But we need the full gospel so we understand the terms, not half of it like the wolf in sheeps clothing preach today. Next the Holy Spirit does the work of sanctification, (which our opponents call our own righteous works) and submission to the Lordship of Jesus Christ which has taken place in all who truly have placed their faith in Jesus Christ to save them. Coming under the Lordship of Christ is merely responding to the call of Jesus Christ to be His disciple. Subjecting yourself to the Lordship of Christ is coming to true saving faith. It is committing your life to Him. It is surrendering your life to God. It is to be born again. (John 3:3) The Bible makes no distinction between being a believer and a disciple – they are one and the same.
