Sami Khedira & Isco to be offered to Chelsea in swap deal Real Madrid are plotting to offer Chelsea the services of both Sami Khedira and Isco in return for lowering their asking price for Brazilian midfielder Ramires. The Daily Express this morning claims that Jose Mourinho could end up with as many as three Los Blancos stars following this summer’s transfer window, if he consents to letting Ramires leave Stamford Bridge. Reports over the course of the weekend made common knowledge of the fact that the Blues boss will actively look to block any moves for the 27-year-old, however he could now be tempted to change his mind. Chelsea have been linked with moves for Khedira in the not too distant past, and also harbour a strong interest in young centre-back Raphael Varane. It’s unclear as of yet whether or not Mourinho would try to work the exchange of him into the deal for Ramires as well, but it’s certainly something that he will likely consider. On face value the proposal from Madrid, should it come in, is surely one that even the Special One would be foolish to refuse. Ramires’ energy and ability to link up attack and defence has become a key component at Stamford Bridge in recent years, but both Khedira and Isco come equipped with stellar reputations. The former has amassed an impressive 46 caps for Germany, and in recent months it’s been speculated that Madrid consider him to be worth £36million alone. His Spanish team-mate has yet to elevate himself to the ‘world-class’ category, but is an established European talent at the tender age of 22, and his performances for old club Malaga showed what he’s capable of if given the chance. The capture of any of the aforementioned Madrid trio would improve Chelsea’s squad, and their transfers seem all the more feasible given how active Mourinho has been already this post-season. It would seem as though the purchases of Atletico Madrid hit-man Diego Costa - for a mooted £32million - and Barcelona playmaker Francesc Fabregas are virtually all but set in stone, and the Portuguese boss could wrap up his dealings in the market with the additions of one or two more top quality players. Following a uncharacteristically trophy-less season last term Mourinho knows that he must deliver this year, and rumours have already began to take shape suggesting that Roman Abramovich could wield the managerial axe if new-signings don’t bring success with them upon arrival in west London. #andmanguy
