Samuel Chu and Yvonne Mariajimenez were publically recognized by outgoing Councilman Richard Alarcon, Council District 7, and the entire City Council at ceremonies held at City Hall on Wednesday, July 26, 2013. The recognition is for work on foreclosure prevention which resulted in the Los Angeles Mortgage Modification Program, and on city finance regulations which resulted in the LA Responsible Banking Ordinance, one of the toughest in the nation. As Yvonne said about the award “It is because of all the hard work of hundreds of OneLA leaders that we were successful in these efforts. All One LA leaders should all be proud of this work and the recognition by Councilman Alarcon and the City Council! I accept the award certificates on behalf of the entire One LA organization and leaders.”
