Samuel Mudhefi, one of my form 3 and 4 classmates at Mazungunye - TopicsExpress

Samuel Mudhefi, one of my form 3 and 4 classmates at Mazungunye High School in Bikita died today in the morning in his house. He was a very nice fellow who was always happy. After our secondary school days I never met until I became the Member of Parliament for St. Marys. I saw him when I was taking my wife to her work place where he was Chitungwiza Municipality groundsman at the school where my wife was teaching. He rushed to greet me, clothed in full ZANU PF regalia from head to toe. We laughed recalling our teenage days at school, and he continuously said asi waipisa musoro shamwari. Na nhasi hazvisati zvapera. After realizing that he wanted to give emphasis to my kupisa musoro, attracting the attention of everyone at school, I told him, yes ndaipisa musoro asi ndaikukundai Mose chikoro. He then kept quite. Last year he tried his lucky in politics by contesting as a ZANU PF council candidate in Ward 12 here in Chitungwiza which he lost to the MDC. He remained a council employee up to his death. When he become critical ill he frequently visited the Chitungwiza Municipality headquarters demanding that he obtain little of his 15 months salary arrears for him to be able to obtain medical treatment. He never got a single cent until he died in his rented room today in the morning. Rest in eternal peace my classmate. Thats why Tsvangirai is correct that Smith was better this nonsense of a regime. Hope ZANU PF will come to the rescue of his wife to ferry his remains to Bikita. May God come to intervene on our behalf. Vana venyu tashungurudzwa Tenzi!!!!
