Sandra Howe Its interesting what the word Aspergers can ellicit in people. From whats that? to yeah sure. I am finding at work that providing the management with a list of Aspie traits and a doc called The employers guide to ASPERGER’S SYNDROME has helped. I gave it to an upper level manager and told him that I had no problem with it being given to the supervisors to read. The other day a supervisor mentioned that they had read it. When they started they didnt think I was Aspergers (its amazing how many people are more qualified than the psych that diagnosed me) but as she read more she started to see how it all applied to me. When they know its as unintended as the colour of your hair suddenly their attitude changes.
