Sapa market Can Cau Market. AM 1 ( on saturdays) Expectation Can Cau a unique, small, colorful market. Itinerary: With a car from Sapa three our driving heading to Can Cau with the distance of 125 Km. The trip will take you through rural area. On the way you can see Bac Ha town with colorful ethnic. Can Cau is a small, colorful market 20 Km from Bac Ha town, opening only on Saturdays, it always delivers a very photogenic display of Flower Hmong, Black Zao, Phu La ethnic costumes. Chinese people also come there for trading. After enjoying the whole morning exploring the market, you will leave the market for Bac Ha town, where you will have lunch in a local restaurant. After lunch, the car will take you to a village of Flower H’Mong minority. You will then start a small short walk to Ban Pho village, which belongs to the Flower H’Mong minority. While walking dirt trail through the village, our guide will show you differeces of five small group of H’Mong minority. After visiting Ban Pho village you will then heaading to the Chinese border in Lao Cai town. In the area you can have chance to see a temple before driving back to railway station. Muong Hum locates 35km from Y Ty border. On Sunday, Muong Hum is always packed with colorful ethnic minorities such as Ha Nhi, Phu La, Tu Di, Black Dao, Giay, Red Hmong as well as Black Hmong. AM 4 (Tuesday only) Expectation: This is a unique market, which takes place only on Tuesday. Coc Ly is a very small market where you can meet several ethnic minorities such as Flower Hmong, Black Zao, Phu La, Nung and Tay. The trip offers you a one-way boat ride along Chay River and a short walk to Trung Do village of Tay minority. Itinerary: After having breakfast, you will travel by car to Bac Ha, which is 70 km Northeast of Lao Cai. The ride is relatively flat from Lao Cai. It will take you through rural area. The road is rougher for the last 30km. You arrive in Coc Ly by the time where the market is the most crowded. Coc Ly market locates by the Chay River, which flows from China. Every Tuesday morning, minorities from surrounding villages such as Flower Hmong, Black Zao and Tay, gather to sell and buy their products. After visiting the market, you travel by boat downstream. Along the ride, you can enjoy magnificent sight of the beautiful caves and life on the riverbank. You will have lunch on a beach or later in a village. The trip will also offers you a visit to Trung Do village of Tay minority, where you can stop by a traditional Tay house for a cup of tea. You will go further downstream until you arrive to Bao Nhai Bridge. Here you get on the car for the journey back. Expectation: With a car driving toward the market, you can enjoy beautiful landscape. This is a very small market in the area but still keeps its originals. Itinerary: After having breakfast, you will tranfer by car toward the market which located in a beautiful area of 70 km Northeastern Lao Cai. You will enjoy beautiful scenery along the way until you arrive in Muong Khuong. From there, you turn in a dirt road leading up mountains. The tinny market is surrounded by pine trees forests and villages. Flower Hmong, Tu Di, Tay and Giay ethnic minorities come there for trading and meeting people. After exploring the market, you will have chance to visit villages of Black Dao and Pa Di. Your lunch will be served in Muong Khuong in a local restaurant. After lunch, you will tranfer to Lao Cai. AM 6 Expectation: The big market located in a beautiful landscapes where you will have opportunity to visit an exotic market with Flower Hmong, Tu Di, Tay and Giay ethnic minorities. You will also be able to visit a village of Pa Di minority as well as a beautiful waterfall nearby rice terraces. Itinerary: After having breakfast, you will travel by car to Muong Khuong Market, which is 50 km Northeast of Lao Cai. The ride will take you through beautiful landscapes until you arrive in Muong Khuong. The market locates near small border town where Flower Hmong, Tu Di, Tay, Giay ethnic minorities as well as Chinese people come there for trading. They come to buy and sell local products such as food and material for agriculture and fabric. After spending the whole morning exploring the market, you will have lunch in a local restaurant. You will then visit a village of Pa Di people, where you have opportunity to explore their daily life. You can make a stop nearby a waterfall before you get on the car for the journey back.
