Saturday August 10th : Invitation Silloth. Won by Wasim Ahmed and partner Darren, who got a hole in one (albatross) at the fourth! It’s a pity he ducked out of his responsibilities by not appearing in the clubhouse afterwards. Tuesday August 13th : Leith Links Stableford Round 6. An outstanding scratch 71 for 45 points saw Andrew Mannion win on the night and also secure the Leith Links Trophy. Spare a thought for Mark Robertson, who despite returning a scratch 74 (41 points) had to settle for second place on the night and overall. With 38 points, Wasim Ahmed took third place both on the night and overall. Saturday August 17th : Harrison Open. There will be no regular club golf today. Any requests for late entries should be addressed to the organizers at the Harrison. Tuesday August 20th : Club Night. Tee times from 5.30 to 5.58. Saturday August 24th : Ye Monks Championship Fourth Qualifying Round. Tee times from 11.54. There are five rounds in total contributing to the Ye Monks Championship. You carry your best two net scores from the first four qualifiers into the final round with the competition decided by the best 54 hole total (which MUST include the score from the final round). Tuesday August 27th : Wee Braids Stableford. Details of tee times to follow. With summer drawing to a close, we return to nine holes on the wee course playing for the Willie Drummond Trophy. The winner of the competition will be decided on the basis of the four best scores over six rounds played in spring and autumn. If you did not play in the spring and so have no scores to carry forward, you can still play for the sweep on the night. Saturday August 31st : Ye Monks Championship Final Round. Tee times from 11.54. Carry your two best net scores from the four previous qualifiers into the final round, with the championship decided on the basis of a 54 hole total. The score in the final round must count. If you don’t have two previous scores, or you do but are well out of contention, you can still play for the day’s sweep as usual.
