Saturday, June 28th- ANTIGUA!! In the morning, we got on the bus and made our way to Antigua! Some of the sights on the bus ride were breathtaking; including volcanoes, farmland and rolling hills. When we got there to the city line, we had to get out of the bus and walk the rest of the way to the hotel because the bus couldnt get through the narrow streets. If only it were as simple as it sounds. Weaving through the grid-like streets in Antigua was rough and we got lost about 3 times. Eventually, we were able to find our hotel after quite a long walk. For the rest of the day, we were able to go all around and shop for souvenirs. There were many street vendors and a massive marketplace that sold amazing hand-crafted souvenirs. The majority of the team got hammocks, but souvenirs ranged from notebooks to blankets to jewelry etc. Quite a fun day for all! :) Note: These are not my pictures.
