Saturday started off to be a day of saying farewell to a dear friend, who is now in a better place, and to be followed with lunch in Old Town with close friends. While walking on one of Old Towns many uneven streets Jeanie tripped and took a hard fall, landing on a shoulder and then her face. Five plus hours later in the ER at Alexandria Hospital it was confirmed that she had fractured her arm near the shoulder in three places. We are not sure that surgery will be required, and she has an appointment with our orthopedic surgeon tomorrow to confirm. I say our orthopedic surgeon because of more time with him than we prefer (Many years ago Jeanie, as an OR nurse, assisted his father at Fairfax Hospital). In any event, we should know tomorrow what procedure is required. I will update.
