Saw the doctor about 1:30 today and of course he is not letting Jon David out the door anytime soon. They have him on three.....yes THREE high powered IV antibiotics. I didnt know you could give three at a time. And told him that until his chest X-ray clears up, he is temp free for at least 24 hrs, his WBC is nearer normal and his blood cultures look better......he will remain as a guest here. We had another crew of social workers, nurse admin, etc come through that estimated it may be Friday..........before he goes home. I think he expected he wasnt getting out soon, but had to really suck it up, when they said Friday. We had a busy day getting meds checked, settling in, and got to see some old friends, Karen Irico, Pam Taylor and meet the new Pastor at our Maumelle FUMC church. Dave came this afternoon and I went home for a couple hours sleep. My animals acted like I had been gone forever and wasnt ever coming back....they were freaking out. Tonight we are hoping for a better night of sleep, weve unhooked some monitors, got the breathing treatments scheduled a little different and Jon David is snoozing. His temp is down so hopefully we are turning the corner.. We thank you for the prayers and words of encouragement! Ill keep you posted. Love, Jacki
