Saying thank you isnt hard to do - but often ignored or forgotten. - TopicsExpress

Saying thank you isnt hard to do - but often ignored or forgotten. Tonight, Im saying THANK YOU to the many of you who have reached out to me by commenting on my posts, liking, sharing or sending a message or text, hugged me and let me cry. It is appreciated and I have needed this. For two reasons: it has truly comforted me and reassured my faith in humanity. You see, I know I have flooded your newsfeeds with images, numbers, outrage and links to the horrible situation in Gaza. I am not directly affected - thankfully my family live a distance from there - but I am affected, deeply, nonetheless. It is a cross generational suffering, a collective grief. Many times, I have felt alone and isolated because of my heritage. I am a social person, and yet being a minority, within a minority can make a person feel utterly invisible - no sense of belonging. I know this is not a unique revelation as many feel alone in the community. Having a connection to others who may feel alone as well, a horrible situation can give a lone person a voice, a sense of identity and draw people together in a singular cause. It also makes me feel less useless, helpless. I hope to reciprocate the gesture in any of your times of need, my friends.
