Saylors prognosis: the doctor cant give any predictions as to the likelihood of the extent of Saylors recovery from her injuries as it could go any number of ways. Jeff and I know her and she has our genes and based on that we are pretty positively expecting the best. She has Jeffs feet. Its the foot that is the only thing in danger of not being substantially as it was before....yet Jeff has broken his feet multiple times in his youth and beyond yet still uses his feet to ride his bike and surf. What is affected is the ability of her foot to adjust side to side as it must when walking on sand. He put the foot back together like a broken plate using metal plates and screws and pins. its a reassembled plate but as he said it has a rough surface now and time will tell if she develops arthritis in it, if she will need some more work as she ages or if it just adapts to normal for the rest of her life. I know where I put my money.
