Scary, exhausting past 24 hours: While I was taking Madeline on a short walk in the woods behind the house last night at 7:30pm, she started walking SUPER slow, then stopped, lost her bowels, swayed from side to side and then collapsed. I carried her home as fast as I could and Ben brought her up the steps and onto her bed in the living room. She had very labored breathing and could not get up and was shaking. We were convinced that the cancer has finally decided that it was her time. I made an appt. to have her put to sleep at 8:30am this morning. To our complete surprise, at 3:45am this morning when I was checking on her she perked up, stood up and slowly walked around at wanted to eat. She is very exhausted today and has been mostly sleeping but seems "normal" other than that. We wonder if she had a seizure or a stroke on the walk. She is wagging her tail and even did a few "woo woos" for her breakfast which is a great sign. She is such a fighter, she just amazes me! As long as she appears to be in no pain, we will just take it day by day here and see how she does.
