Scattered showers and thunderstorms are increasing in coverage and intensity early this morning across eastern Kansas into northwest Missouri and these showers and thunderstorms should continue to spread to the east and southeast this morning and could impact portions of the Dixon area during the predawn hours and early Tuesday morning. Most areas could also remain dry so trends will be monitored this morning for thunderstorm potential. While widespread severe weather is not expected to occur it is likely that a few strong to marginally severe storms will be possible this morning. The primary hazards with any thunderstorms that do manage to make it into the Dixon area will be heavy rain, frequent lightning, small hail and gusty winds.
