Season 2 :#39 Khanya was at her house and she was heavily pregnant, she hated herself so much and more so this baby she had in her belly, she wished she could just rip it out at times. She felt like it was holding her back from what she wanted to do with her life. She wanted to go to Joburg and start afresh where no one knows her or knows of her but she couldnt do that with a baby in her tummy. She was in her room cleaning and also packing, she hid her bags though because she didnt want anyone to know that as soon as she gave birth she was going to run away and never come back. She knew that Melikhaya was cheating on her and as much as she hated Phumeza she knew that Phumeza would be a much better mother than she could ever be. Her parents had passed away a long time ago and her aunt was a very mean spirited person and she hated kids. She only took in Khanya because there was no other family. Khanya stepped out of her room and cleaned the house, it was always in a mess and she decided to wash the windows, clean the fridge, wash the carpets and the walls in the kitchen. When she was done she was extremely tired so she boiled some water and poured it in the basin and mixed it with some cold water then took it to her room and washed, she moisterized and got dressed waphuma wayo lahla amanzi wakhe. She then decided to cook and as tired as she was she went all out with the roasted chicken and potato, herb rice, veggies and bean salad. She also made some malva pudding and then washed all the pots and backing try. Her aunt walked in as she was finishing up Aunt: yhuuuuu akuclean apha heee kubetha umoya vha, hayi uyacleaner sana Khanya: molo makazi bekunjani emsebenzini? Aunt: hayi noko bekuryt wethu, wena oko bucleaner? Khanya: ewe makazi Aunt: energy engakha nobha uzobeleka sisi Khanya: hayi noko kusheke inyanga yonke mos Aunt: kandixelele lomntana wakho uzohlaphi? When I didnt have kids I wasnt playing ngoba nje uyithanda ipipi you must always make sure uya preventa andazi ke ngawe! Khanya: makazi nditshilo mos ndathi Ill make a plan Aunt: I wonder yimalini icheeck nontombi, you forget that apha kukwam and ke mandingaqelwa Khanya carried on with what she was doing and just decided to pay no attention to her aunt. As she was packing away all the dishes she started feeling dizzy and had low abdominal pains... She knew that she was in labour so she went to her room and took her bags and pushed them out of her window then walked back out. Khanya: makazi, ndisaya apha kuMelikhay, I might sleep there Aunt: oh ok, usavula impundu nangoku umithi Khanyi didnt mind her mean words, she hurried out and took her bags and hid them in some bushes near her house she the hurried out and caught a taxi to Dora, her contractions were starting to get stronger and closer to each other but she kept a straight face through the pain. She got to the hospital with her baby bag and her medical file and she was taken in by the nurses. Nurse: hayi sana unamandla zanga ndambona umntu oqine nje ngawe kodwa youre in labour Khanya: kanti kubuhlungu nurse Nurse: ok nololo kandiphe ifile yakho ukwele ebedini... She was hooked up to the heart monitor for her baby and she lay there for a while, in the worst pain ever and she had tears rolling down her cheeks, the mid wife came to check on her and as fast as it was she was already fully dilated Midwife: hayi nontombi uyakawuleza tshini! Busele ntoni dan? Khanya: kange ndisele nto nurse Midwife: yhoooo hayi sana, izana simse kwi labour ward guys Two student nurses hurried along and helped her walk to the next ward, she was helped on to the bed and her legs were spread apart and she was shown how to push Midwife: each time you push ke nololo ndicela islevu sithi nca apha kwisfuba utyale ke girl but only xa ndisitsho. Khanya nodded and so it began, the pushing and stopping and screaming and pushing again... About 20 minutes later a baby girl was born, she weighed 2.7 kg and had all her fingers and toes and when she was checked by the nurses all of her organs were fully developed and functioning. For a premature baby she sure was healthy, Khanya though had other plans. They were taken to another ward and Khanya was checked and she was ok, she didnt even need stitches. The night seemed to drag on and on for Melikhaya, he couldnt eat or sleep and a part of him was a little panicked but he had no idea why. He decided to call Phumeza and as noisy as it was Kwa Gqalane she answered her phone and walked a little up the street away from all the noise Phumeza: (shouting) hello baby Melikhaya: usekwa Gqalane? Phumeza: ewe babe, akumnandi apha Melikhaya: ndiyeza ke nam Phumeza: oh ok babe, uzondi fumana ngaphakati ok Melikhaya: I hope awuplitwa apho abeva abotata Phumeza: hahahaha kade ufike wethu babe Melikhaya: ok sho The dropped the calls and Phumeza went to her friends and told them Melikhaya was coming. They werent impressed because Melikhaya was cheating on her and so he felt that he should always have his eyes on her... They called him tatuPolisa! And Phumeza would laugh but she knew it was true and it bothered her but she told anyone about the ins and outs of her relationship because it would only make her look stupid... After a little while Melikhaya came through but he really wasnt feeling ok he has cramps and his tempreture was high so Phumeza decided they should go home. They got to the car and Melikhaya screamed in pain so Phumeza had to drive them home, they finally got home and Phumeza and lay him on the bed, took of his shoes and clothes and ran the bath so he could take a bath, when he was done he moisturerized and got into pjs and ate some chicken soup and Phumeza gave him some pills and he felt the pain was much better and fell asleep...
