Seasons greetings fellow expats! Im a fairly new foreigner in Taiwan that moved here after spending 6 months in South Korea. While there arent very many things I miss about South Korea, one (and possibly only) thing I miss is how easy it was to get a decent haircut. There were several foreign barbers shops in Itaewon (a foreigner-hotspot district in Seoul) that were versed in handling all types of hair textures and producing all sorts of hair styles. One guy was recommended to me here in Taiwan but hes a bit hard to reach. Im trying to get whats known to most Hispanics and Africans/Blacks in the western world as a hairline up. (AKA edge-up or shape-up.) Ive pasted a video of what Im trying to get done. Watching the vid to about 3:00 minutes should give you a pretty good idea of what Im looking for. Some people have suggested that I do it myself, but its not that easy. Especially if youre trying to trace around your ears as well as the back of your neck. Plus, the hair clippers I have arent strong enough to give me a prominent line-up. So for the time being, I prefer to find someone that can do it for me. At least until I have the time and equipment to try to do it myself. (After much trail and error of course. haha) Barber recommendations near the Taoyuan area would be wonderful! https://youtube/watch?v=mnQ3-6kAyrU
