IMMEDIATE THEATER CASTING: A friend and awesome guy, ED Matthews, is seeking a non-union males for a production hes directing in New Jersey. The play performs Dec. 3-7 and 11-14, 2014, Wed-Sat at 7:00pm and Sundays at 3:00pm. New play called TRIAL AND TREASON, by S.W. Senek, based on the novel SEE NO EVIL by Cristina Guarneri (winner of NJ Playwrights Contest). Character: a variation of JW Booth in a dream. Historial figure, actor/assassin, speaks with a Southern accent, maybe short of stature (not important), bully, born leader. Here is a short description of the play: The President of the United States is taken hostage by an underground society that accuses him of trying to destroy the party system on which the country was built. During his interrogation he reveals secrets of corruption that he has lived with throughout his political career. To prove his innocence and love for the country he must retrace all of the steps in his career. In the background are the remnants of the American antiquity that lead to the downfall of a government and political system that no longer work for the people they were meant to serve. Trial and Treason is a timely and thought provoking piece in this age of the never-ending election process. The play stars Ben Jorgensen (aka Ben Monk) of ALL MY CHILDREN and numerous movies fame, as the fictitious president, Matt Logan.
