Seek ye first For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Philipians 2:13 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 2 corinthians 6:16 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you. Zachariah 8:23 The only thing that makes worship, or serving God meaningful, is its order of placement in our lives. Everyone has a number of thing he is interested in Everyone has a cluster of things he is attached to But the one that is at the apex of this order is what is truly being worshiped It is what we truly live for, and serve; and what is our real god In mattew 6:33 the Lord admonished us to seek first the kingdom of God, and its righteousness(a nd all other things shall be added unto us) For us to understand this admonishment, and its significance we need to know a number of things First, the kingdom of God was never established on the earth, until the Son of God himself came down to set the example of how it is done. Yes God had a nation sanctified for himself, and prophets doing things for him, but none of these was part, or an expression of or even a representation of his kingdom The kingdom of God is not about men using his power, anointing, wisdom, knowledge etc to do things for him as seen in the old testament; It is about the king himself living in us, and working his will through us. It is not God being represented as done in the past, for he already lives in us. It is about we submitting to His will, and having Him do things His way in our lives The kingdom of God is all about having his will being done on the earth - just as it is in heaven. (Mathew 6:10) And the only way this could be possible is when he himself is allowed to do it (through us) When we were saved and received the Holy Spirit - who is the Spirit of Christ. the king himself came to live within us. His domain (kingdom) is our lives , and not the things of this physical world. It by we submitting to his will, and allowing him to accomplish his purposes in our lives that his kingdom is established on the earth. This is how we seek the kingdom of God. When the Lord was on earth; he asserted that none of the things done by him, was done of his own will or counsel. He only did what he saw the Father do - nothing more or less. His works on earth was not a quest to achieve something for the Father, but rather a total surrender to the Fathers will, following Him every step of the way(John 5:19) The kingdom of God is sought through the death and crucifixion of our own will. That is why the Lord commanded that he that shall follow him must deny himself(interference of his own plans, goals, interests and personal will , take up his cross and follow him( Mathew 16:24). It is only when we are placed in a position of death and crucifixion that his perfect will can be accomplished through us. This is how it begins Even though we are positionally ranked with Christ, and graced with many heavenly blessings and spiritual gifts, he expects us to willingly submit to him - placing all that we have and are at his disposal; just as He willing submitted to the Fathers will only and refused to repute himself with his own privileges , even though he was in the same position with Him as God( Philipians 2:5-9) Paul, understanding this mystery always regarded himself as a bond-servant of Christ, There can be only one throne in our lives. It is either his or ours. There can only be one King in our affairs; either ourselves or Christ In the congregation of the most anointed men in the apostles days, the Holy Spirit was able to say; separate unto me Paul and Banabas(acts 13:2. This was because he was evidently the king there. If this was so among this mighty men, then it can be so in our own individual lives. It is about time we hear God speaking and not ourselves. Its about time we truely seek His kingdom .., Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of. himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. John 5:19 My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you, Galatians 4:19
